Hi, I have just taken the above validation and I have a query about question 4.

The options did not include what I thought was the max takeoff weight for the 800, but did include the max takeoff weight for another B737 variant. (I’m trying not to spoil the question for the students to follow).

Can you clarify if the question and the answers are aligned, thanks?

(I did take a screenshot if you wish to see it)

    Regards,
    Ian

    Hi Ian,

You bring up a valid point. Authorized weights can vary depending on configuration and certification.

I’ll work on documentation for our fleet to avoid confusion in the future.

    MCA 737-800 Maximum Weights:

    Taxi: 174,700
    Takeoff: 174,200
    Landing: 146,300
    Zero Fuel: 136,000

    Thanks Mike,

Just for clarity I obtained what I thought was the answer, 155,500 lbs, from this document, B-737-7-8-900_FCOM_TBC_C_080125_V1V2_B8P-C.pdf’, L.10.3, dated Sept 24, 2007.
